Where can I implement ad code on my theme?

With the assistance of a developer (or, quite honestly, well written instructions from your ad network), all of our themes can accommodate ad code.

If you need to implement ad code on your own and aren’t sure how to insert codes into your blog’s header or footer, check out this Help Desk article. Once your tracking scripts are implemented, here are the areas you can feature ads in each of our themes:

Presidio Theme

The Shopping Widget area (below the featured posts on your Home Page) can accommodate any HTML, so you may place leaderboard ad code in that space instead of a shopping widget, and the title is optional.

Additionally, ads can easily be placed in your sidebar using a Custom HTML widget. To add this, simply head to Appearance > Customize, then select the Widgets tab and navigate to the Sidebar area. Click Add a Widget, select Custom HTML, and add the widget to your sidebar. You can drag it into the position/order you wish to feature it. Paste in your ad code in HTML, and hit save. That’s it!

Miramar Theme

The Shopping Widget area (below the featured posts on your Home Page) can accommodate any HTML, so you may place leaderboard ad code in that space instead of a shopping widget, and the title is optional.

Brevier Theme

Ads can easily be placed in your sidebar using a Custom HTML widget. That’s it!

Again, all themes can have leaderboard code inserted into the header or footer as well. Ask your ad network if they can offer assistance in getting code inserted into these areas if you are unsure how to proceed  — we’ve found most networks are happy to help, since there is something in it for them! 😉
